Commander Qrukk
The Sith Empire has never shied away from using mercenary forces in their military operations--they're ruthless, expendable, and will do almost any job as long as the pay is good. But a mercenary rising through the ranks of an institution as prestigious as Sith Intelligence is almost unheard of.
Before he took command of the Imperial Infiltration Specialists, Qrukk was a member of Krallet Division, an Imperial unit made up entirely of the most vicious mercenaries credits could buy. Qrukk was infamous among the squad for being constantly at odds with Krallet Division's leader, Jilo Del, about their activities. While Del reveled in the indiscriminate slaughter of soldiers and civilians alike, Qrukk wanted purpose and tasks that actually strengthened the Empire.
Following one particularly heated exchange, Qrukk began formulating a plan to oust Jilo Del and succeed him as the leader of Krallet Division. Before he could carry out his plot, however, Qrukk was approached by Darth Xarion, the head of Sith Intelligence. One of the participants in Qrukk's scheme--an undercover subordinate of Xarion's hoping for a promotion--reported Qrukk's plans to her master.
Xarion, impressed with Qrukk's restraint, patience, and skill, offered him a position in a specialized task force charged with taking over Manaan, slowly and from the shadows. Qrukk enthusiastically agreed to serve Xarion, now that he offered the only thing Qrukk had wanted: purpose.Category: Persons of Note

The Conservator
Little is known about the devout, silver-tongued leader of the Selkath isolationists who resist all interference from both the Galactic Republic and the Sith Empire. His followers no longer use his real name--instead, they simply call him "the Conservator," a reflection of his ardent desire to preserve the delicate balance of Manaan's waters.
The timeline in which the Conservator rose to power is as murky as his past. Outsiders and the few disgruntled former members of the Conservator's organization claim that he assassinated his way to his current leadership position. Those who follow the Conservator simply claim that he owes his success to his ability to appeal to varying ideologies, as well as a willingness to work with anyone who shares his passion.Category: Persons of Note

Jilo Del
Even before he found what he considered to be his calling as a gun-for-hire, Jilo Del's admitted lack of morals meant that he would do anything, no questions asked--as long as the price was right.
Del had only completed a few jobs as a mercenary before his reputation for depravity was already widely known. This caught the attention of an Imperial Admiral, who hired Del to eradicate an entire colony.
After the job was finished, the admiral revealed that her sister, who was defecting to the Republic, had been hiding in the small, remote settlement. In order to remove any connection to the deserter, the admiral betrayed Del and turned him over to the Imperial Army.
Del's punishment was short-lived. He was indentured into serving the Imperial Army and promised a large sum of credits if he formed a merciless hit squad, made up of equally-unprincipled mercenaries, that could be easily disavowed. Del took on the title "Captain"--as a joke more than an actual rank--and he was given free rein to recruit the most ruthless assassins, contract killers, and executioners the galaxy's underworld had to offer... as long as they were as unprincipled as Del.
Under Del's leadership, his hit squad was responsible for some of the worst atrocities committed during the Third Galactic War, many of them against civilians and noncombatants.Category: Persons of Note

- minn_ishkah
Minn Ishkah
A seasoned diplomat with a decades-long résumé, Minn Ishkah began her career as a special envoy between General Elin Garza, Havoc Squad, and the Republic Senate. Her appointment came shortly after an incident on Ando Prime, in which Garza dispatched Havoc Squad without authorization or approval.
Ishkah's superiors made her role clear: rein in Garza's reckless disregard for the tentative peace between the Republic and the Sith Empire, and report all concerns to representatives of the Senate.
Before long, her superiors began to realize that Ishkah's presence had little influence on Garza--instead, Ishkah seemed to be adopting Garza's brash demeanor and impulsiveness, as well as her opinions on where, when, and how the Republic military should be involved. By the time Ishkah was removed from her position, she had formed many close contacts within the military who shared her fervent belief in the Republic's superiority over the Empire.
Although the vast majority of Ishkah's subsequent assignments were successful, they were not without issues. Her current reputation in the diplomatic community is complicated: most respect her devotion, but all are wary of her nettlesome disposition.Category: Persons of Note

Shak Los
The youngest child of a wealthy exporter on Manaan, Shak Los grew up with little supervision and almost no interest from his parents. While his siblings were all passionate about learning their father's trade, Shak's attentions were everywhere but his future livelihood.
When he reached adulthood, Shak's family grew tired of entertaining his fruitless dalliances. They gave him an ultimatum: join the family business, or lose all monetary support. Reluctantly, Shak gave in.
While working with his family, Shak grew close to one of his father's partners, who helped Shak grow his own network of business contacts. As Shak earned more of the partner's trust, he began to teach Shak the cutthroat trade methods that had made him successful, including a few that were less than legitimate.
Eventually, Shak amassed enough wealth to buy out the entirety of his father's exporting empire. He ejected his siblings and his father from the company, and changed the purpose of the business to acquiring priceless antiquities--by any means necessary--for the highest bidders.Category: Persons of Note

Wo Kasto
When Wo Kasto volunteered to serve in Manaan's military, few expected him to excel. Kasto was the product of a long line of scientists and researchers, while the majority of Selkath who enlisted came from highly-respected military legacies.
Against everyone's predictions, Kasto quickly proved himself. He attained the rank of Captain in record time, thanks to his inquiring mind, no-nonsense disposition, and refusal to accept failure--all of which he attributed to being raised in a science-rich environment.
Captain Kasto was handpicked to join the Manaan Special Warfare Group by its founder, Colonel Wen Gallo. In Gallo, Kasto found a kindred spirit who shared his candid temperament and dedication to the Selkath.
After the Galactic Republic helped the Manaan Special Warfare Group repel an invasion by the Sith Empire, Captain Kasto was elected to represent the organization in negotiating an alliance with the Republic. Kasto was reluctant, until his peers explained that he was the only candidate they believed would secure a deal that benefited all Selkath, and not just himself.Category: Persons of Note
