The Jannimak
"I'm pleased to report that the project has just reached its first major milestone: all specimens have been acclimatized. Lifeforms of any variety one can think of--creatures, plants, and microorganisms from dozens of disparate worlds--are now flourishing in their new homes aboard the Jannimak. I should be celebrating the achievement with my team, but each success only reminds me of how long I've been away.
Tireless hours spent programming the ship's systems, recreating every possible configuration--both past and potential--of Ryloth's terrain and climate... and the outcome barely soothes the anguish I feel when I think of the real thing. On this ship, I can feel Ryloth's scorching sand beneath my feet or touch the frozen lines of an ice shelf with my hands, but when I'm reminded that I can control these environments with such precision, I'm forced to remember their artificiality too.
But enough moping for today. Time to focus on all that we're going to learn aboard this vessel. The breakthroughs we'll make in resource versatility and biological durability are going to change the course of my people's future. The success of this first experiment--of perfectly reconfiguring the conditions to suit the growth and health of these unrelated lifeforms--is the first major step in creating the blueprint of Ryloth's prospects as a thriving paradise."
