Consuming a charge of Dark Ward increases shield absorption by 1%. Stacks up to 10 times. This effect lasts for 20 seconds or until Dark Ward is reactivated. In addition, shielding an attack while Dark Ward is active has a 20% chance to restore a charge and increase its active duration by 1 second.
